So now I’m in the Philippines eating away (or am I eating the Philippines?). Much more relaxed itinerary here and a completely different trip and feel than Korea. It’s good and bad. Just one week left til I’m back home + new posts!
Definitely have a ton of new Korean dishes and possibly Filipino dishes I want to replicate when I get back – especially since I’m hearing of the rainy Vancouver weather. But until then, I’ll be enjoying my 33C weather.
7 days left in the Philippines. Any recommendations or foods I must try?!
Apologies for my absenteeism, but I’m away in vacation in Seoul, Korea right now and having the time of my life! Seoul is a very beautiful city and the food here is simply amazing. I’m already so inspired to make a few dishes that I’ve tried here.
Anyways, I’m off to Lotte World aka the largest indoor/outdoor theme park in the world!

I know some of you have been waiting for this post for a very long time because of my discovery of the Whole Foods market. But more on that later after the jump. First, sweet chili chicken and broccoli stir fry.
We had another family BBQ over this past weekend as my brother and sister-in-law and my super cute nephew were in town. Of course, a family party was in order. With the gorgeous weather, sangria, and BBQ, I couldn’t have asked for a better set up! And this time I wasn’t bringing dessert!!! I decided to bring some mini chive and bacon quiches.
I’ll be honest with you — I haven’t been cooking any amazing dishes as of late. This week has been just chaotic. I’ve been seriously counting down the days to my vacation. I think I really need it.
So, I apologize for the next couple posts. In my opinion, they are rather boring and basic. I guess you could say that I’m kind of falling into a little slump. I’m feeling rather uninspired and just wanting to get the hell out of Vancouver. Weather has been so great lately and I hardly feel like eating! So again, sorry.
Crumby. Not crummy. Vacation is calling my name in less than week, for god’s sake!
Cake crumbs. Probably the easiest thing to make when you have leftover cake bits or crumbs from leveling a cake off. Crazily addicting, crunchy, and sweet. And you can do so, so much with them… Let me show you how!
Seriously. By this time next week, I’ll be at YVR awaiting an 11.5 hour flight to Seoul, Korea! Excited. Although I am already feeling like I am in vacation mode, I still have a shit ton of work to do. 5 days of working, a crazy weekend of baking and last minute orders, my first ever market experience at the Hawker’s Market, Mother’s Day festivities, need to finish my passport challenge… I’m just thinking that I really don’t have time to pack. I’ll figure it out.
Even though I have tons of things on my mind, Korea is still the first thing on the brain. I made some kimchi fried rice the other day in celebration of my upcoming vacation.
